I Quit My Job

Do you ever get so caught up in life that you forget about the things that make you feel grounded?

Geez, this might sound a little weird to some of you, but blogging here at A Mom In Training makes me feel calm. I wish I had more time in the day to blog, but other priorities demand my attention nowadays – two kids, a hubbin, a dog, and two businesses.

There’s never a dull moment in this household.

And yes, as the title of this post suggests, I quit my job today.

It feels so liberating. I feel so free.

Like I broke free from the ball and chain of Cubicle Nation and can now live life on my terms.

I haven’t even shared this publicly with anyone who personally knows me. I guess it’s partly because I know that there are people who also want to quit their jobs, so it could be misperceived as me being boastful even though I’ve nooo intention of doing that!

Straight up – I wanted to spend more time with my kids.

It’s so amazing how much life changes once a kid enters the picture. Now I have two, and the thought of being away from them for the majority of the day makes me mad.

Do they  drive me crazy? OF COURSE!!! Holy smokes, sometimes I wonder how those with three or more kids survive!! But I wouldn’t trade this time I get to spend with them for anything in the world. #ClicheButTrue

I want to wake up at 5:30 am because my youngest needs to nurse, not because my alarm goes off so I could spend an hour in rush hour traffic to get to work on time.

I want to be frustrated because my two-year-old spilled her orange juice (with lots of pulp) on the living room rug that I have to wash outside, not because an angry customer is consistently calling my office phone to complain about the water damage in her bathroom.

Let me start by saying that I didn’t flat out tell my employer, “Peace out!”

It took a lot of planning.

The first thing I did was look at me and my husband’s budget. I basically tried to figure out if I could afford to quit my job. How much money were we making a month versus how much did we have to pay for our bills.

I applied what I learned from a course I enrolled in just last year in February. My husband and I enrolled in the course, and paid off over $13,000 of debt just 2 months later.

It was invigorating.

I became so intrigued by the entire process that I asked the CEO of the company if I could teach others how to do the same. He was impressed with what I learned, so he agreed to let me be an instructor!! I’ve taught over 20 families how they can bank a smarter way just by changing their checking account.

If you’d like to see how quickly you could get out of debt, just fill out this FREE financial analysis. Using my link will get you the analysis for free, otherwise it costs $250. Click here to see how fast you can get out of debt.

If you wanna get started, just fill it out and I’ll personally email you to go over your report with you. 🙂 There’s no commitment or obligation to do anything. It’s my free gift to you, so even if you’re just curious, you can just try it out for yourself.

Now I’m sitting back being a housewife while my husband goes to work to  make all the money.

Now I’m working my BUTT OFF to replace my income! Everything I do nowadays requires a schedule. If it isn’t written down on a to do list, or a calendar, or my phone, then it flat out just isn’t happening.

Omg, having kids will do that to you. I’ve tried many times to just go with the flow and have failed time and time again.

And actually, I’ve found that I get super frustrated with my kids when there’s something I wanna do, but they’re taking too long to do whatever it is they’re doing (changing a diaper, eating waffles, picking up toys, etc). If I have it scheduled for a specific time, I tend to be more calm with them because even if that time rolls around and I can’t start what I wanted to right then and there, I’ll just make a few adjustments and know that I’ll get to it in just a bit.

I’ve also started my own LuLaRoe business! OMG, have you heard of LuLaRoe? I’m addicted to their clothes!!!

Don’t even get me started.

Okay, too late.

If you already know about LuLaRoe, omg, you have to tell me what your favorite piece is.  I only own about 10 pieces right now but I’m slowly building my wardrobe! I have 1 Julia, 2 Cassies, 2 Irmas, 1 Randy, 1 Lindsay, and 3 leggings (one of those are black!!!!). I’ve been dyyying to try on a Nicole and Amelia, but I haven’t had the chance to yet!!

I’m actually expecting my onboarding call any day now, so if you wanna shop with me, come join my Facebook group here!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted an updated Income Report, and I promise I’ll get to those as soon as I can. I just wanted to do some free writing on here to let out all the feels in my brain.
