30 Day Balanced Mom ChallengeA Mom In Training


I’ve been spending a lot of time on social media lately and realized that there are people out there just like me who are either new moms who feel like they just aren’t themselves anymore, and there are also those who want to start a blog {not necessarily a mom blog}, but have no idea how to get started.

So I thought, “Hey… maybe I can help them out since they’re both kinda really related to my life!”

So that’s what I’m doing.

I love building relationships with people, and I just think it’s so rewarding if I’m able to help someone out.

With that said, I’m starting two new resources on the blog:

1. A 30 Day Challenge that will help you find balance between being a mother without losing yourself; and

2. A How to Start A Blog section. 

What do you think? Sounds good right?


It’s my intention to help new moms feel that they can still be that girl they used to be before having a baby. Why, you ask? Because that’s exactly how I feel. I feel like life gets really chaotic around here and really, I’m just rolling with the punches. The house gets put off. Dinner gets delayed. I sleep less than I should. My fitness routine has been non-existent {unless walking from my office to Starbucks each morning counts as exercise!}. My husband’s needs are neglected. Azuki is yearning for attention {I love that sweet dog so, so much}. With all those combined, I become way less productive because I’m exhausted, stressed, and unorganized.

I hope to gain the following by the end of the challenge:

  • manage my time
  • reconnect with my previous self
  • refocus on my marriage
  • organize our home
  • plan meals for dinner

So who’s with me?! Hopefully I’ll be able to share some useful information! If you decide to join, I think it’d be fun to share our successes and failures with each other as we go along this challenge!

I’ve decided that I will send one email a day for 30 days for each challenge. The challenges will be posted here on the blog as well, but I think it will be more effective if people received a daily task in their inbox.

As for the How to Start A Blog section, I’ll be creating tutorials right here on the blog in it’s own section. I’m actually really excited to share this information with you because I totally geek out on bloggy stuff!

I’ll pretty much take you by the hand and walk you through step-by-step tutorials for:

  • Choosing a platform
  • Where to set up your hosting and domain
  • Setting up a theme
  • Selecting essential plugins
  • How to never run out of ideas to blog about
  • How to build relationships with other bloggers
  • How to grow your blog’s audience
  • How to make a little bit of money from your blog

These are just a few of the things I plan to include on the How to Start A Blog section. I’m sure I’ll have more ideas as it progresses!
